QUILTING 101 FOR KIDS Instructor: DEBBIE BAYER

QUILTING 101 -for BEGINNERS Instructor: DEBBIE BAYER

This is a 7 week workshop. Kids will learn how to sew straight lines, make a Pillow Case, a Grocery Tote, and a Strippy Quilt.  They will also learn how to use a rotary cutter and other equipment. Designed for ages 9 and older-I provide a lot of one-on-one (especially when cutting fabric.) Space is limited to three students.                                                                                        Fee: $75  Dates: Feb. 4, 11, 18 & 25; Mar. 4, 11 & 18  Time: 3:30-5:45 (setup at 3:15)

Learn the critical basics of rotary cutting, piecing, pressing, and machine quilting in three sessions as you create this charming lap quilt. STASHERS ANONYMOUS Instructor: DEE ANGUS

A Technique to learn to make Beautiful Flying Geese.  At least two methods will be taught. Then in March, we will make a full project from the technique.  Vote in class which block to use in our project. Everyone will want to be there.  Reserve your spot early.   Due to Stasher's Club popularity, we must make a couple of changes to ensure those who are serious about this learning opportunity are able to attend.  You must call the shop to reserve your space in advance.  Your dues fee will be required at the time you reserve your spot to guarantee your place in class.   I will use the Quilt in a Day Flying Geese Ruler (Small size) to teach, so this item will show up on the supply list.  While not mandatory for the class, it makes the technique easy and your geese come out right every time.  I'm just saying. . .but there are other ways to make the geese that I will show you.  Instructor: Dee Angus Fee: $15.00  Date: Feb. 20, Sat., 12:00-3:00

Check it Out! - “Dusk to Dawn” (Pattern by Peggy Martin) is our 2010 Shop Project.  With this stunning paper-pieced Stars Quilt measuring 62 ½ “ sq., you will impress everyone with your skill.  Many of the fabrics are batiks and like all of our kits, the 15 ½ yards it takes to make this quilt will be offered to you at 15% discount.  We will have FREE workshops to teach you Peggy Martin’s techniques; our first workshop is Thurs., Feb. 18, 6:00-9:00 .   You will need her book, Paper Piece the Quick Strip Way – buy it @ Quilt Ventura and receive 10% off as a member of our Project.   A partial payment of $25.00 will be collected when you sign up, so we may start cutting your kits.  Join the fun!

DOUBLE WEDDING RING TABLE RUNNER Instructor: DEBBIE BAYER	QUILTING 102 - SAMPLER Instructor:  JOEY STRAIT
This is a technique class. You will learn how to make a double wedding ring using fusible. No curved piecing! There is prep work and some homework so we can make the best use of class time. This is a two day class. Fee: $30 Dates: Sunday, March 28 & Saturday April 10 Time: 12 – 4:00.	In this five week class, you will learn to make accurate half-square triangles creating all the blocks for this charming wall hanging.  We will be making two blocks per week.  Prerequisite: Quilting 101 (And you already have the book!)    Fee: $42.50  Dates: Mar.  31, Apr. 7, 14,  21 & 28, Wed., 6:00-9:00 NOTE: Upon completion of the class, you’ll receive a $20.00 Class Coupon!

	For All Levels - This one day workshop will teach you all about value, texture, intensity and more and how it relates to color and fabric! Class Registration & New Cancellation Policy

Please pay for your class when you sign-up to ensure your seat. Supply Lists will be given when you pay for class. To cancel a class, we must be given a minimum of two weeks notice before the date of class in order to refund your money; otherwise, you forfeit your registration fee.
